Body in presereve is missing Hanover Park woman
The body found in a Bloomingdale forest preserve has been identified as a Hanover Park woman who'd been reported missing.
Lisa Prodzenski, who was in her early 40s, was found early Wednesday morning by police and rescue crews in Meacham Grove Forest Preserve, Hanover Park Police Chief Ron Moser confirmed Thursday.
Hanover Park police had been looking for Prodzenski since she was reported missing at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Moser said.
Authorities have not said how Prodzenski died. Moser said he couldn't say whether foul play has been ruled out. He added that the death investigation has been handed over to the DuPage County sheriff's office.
DuPage County Forest Preserve District Police Chief Tom Wakolbinger, whose agency is not involved in the investigation, said Thursday he "would not say for sure that this was a suicide."
Dozens of emergency vehicles lined the road around the entrance to the forest preserve along Circle Avenue. Water rescue teams, canine units and firefighters from several towns, including Schaumburg, Bloomingdale and Rolling Meadows, helped with the search.
