Briefs: Motorola sues Aruba Networks

SCHAUMBURG -- Motorola Inc. announced that its subsidiary companies Symbol Technologies Inc. and Wireless Valley Communications Inc. have filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Aruba Networks Inc. The lawsuit involves patents related to wireless local area network communication technologies. Motorola, Symbol and Wireless Valley are pioneers in network communication technologies and currently hold many patents directly related to WLAN technologies, the company said.

College celebrates new building debut

GRAYSLAKE -- The College of Lake County held a dedication ceremony Tuesday for its new Southlake Educational Center classroom building at 1120 S. Milwaukee Ave., Vernon Hills. The 47,000-square-foot, $13.89 million, three-story building has six computer labs, a science lab, a library, a learning assistance center, a bookstore, full-time faculty offices and a glass-enclosed student lounge on the building's southwest corner. The new addition, the "V" wing, connects with Southlake's existing 16,269-square-foot building.
