Darren Szrom was appointed vice president of marketing and communication at the Schaumburg-based Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute. He has extensive experience in marketing, advertising and communications within the engineering, architecture and construction industries. Szrom, who becomes responsible for all market development efforts and internal and external communications, was previously responsible for corporate communication for the enterprise technology division of the Allstate Insurance Co., Northbrook.

Francesco Milioto was selected the music director and conductor for the Skokie Valley Orchestral Association. The orchestra performs at the North Shore Performing Arts Center in Skokie.

Donald H. Wilson was appointed president and chief operating officer of Amcore Financial Inc. Wilson previously held the position of chief financial officer.

St. Charles resident John Neumaier, a business consultant with Gallagher Benefit Services, Schaumburg, was invited to become a member of the Executives for Make-A-Wish Network, a group of business executives working to bring hope, strength and joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions through the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois.

Incredible Technologies, Arlington Heights, a manufacturer of coin-operated video games, announced the addition of William Buescher, senior industrial designer; Alan Noon, game designer/art department liaison; Sean Ostruszka, marketing associate; Jaime Radwan, Web designer and graphic artist; Dave Stone, inside sales associate; and Mark Storsved, system engineer.

T. J. Chung, president and chief executive officer of Navman Wireless, was elected to the board of directors of Littelfuse Inc., Des Plaines, a worldwide leader in circuit protection products and solutions. Chung has 20 years of executive, global management and technology development experience in electronics and industrial markets.

Zurich Financial Services, Schaumburg, named Ann Haugh chief operating officer in its global corporate unit in North America, responsible for oversight and direction of day-to-day operations. Since April, Haugh has served as executive vice president of Zurich's mergers and acquisitions unit.

Northern Trust, Chicago, hired Ramon Cepeda as vice president and senior commercial real estate relationship manager, responsible for growing the company's commercial real estate portfolio while helping clients with their needs for construction, acquisition and term financing.

Midwest Conservatory of Music, Hoffman Estates, announced the addition of long-time piano teacher Tomoko Kuba to its staff. Kuba holds a bachelor's degree in music and piano performance from Tokyo College of Music and a master's degree in piano performance from Northern Illinois University.
