DuPage business briefs: Community Bank to buy back stock

GLEN ELLYN -- Community Financial Shares Inc., the registered bank holding company for Community Bank-Wheaton/Glen Ellyn, announced a stock repurchase plan Tuesday to increase shareholder value. The company has offered $26 per share for up to 200,000 shares of its common stock. That represents about 15 percent of its outstanding shares with a value of $5.2 million if all 200,000 shares are repurchased. The offer is in place until Sept. 28. Community Financial Shares operates three banks and plans to open a fourth in the fall.

CompTIA unveils more benefits

OAKBROOK TERRACE -- Information technology association CompTIA on Tuesday announced the availability of new benefits for its members. Included in the new benefits package is access to the CompTIA IT Pro reference library featuring books from Books24x7 ITPro Collection. Books24x7 is a subsidiary of SkillSoft.
