Ice Cream Social in Town Square today
The Schaumburg Park District's Ice Cream Social takes place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. today at Town Square, on the southwest corner of Schaumburg and Roselle roads.
Visit the do-it-yourself sundae stand and listen to favorite '60s hits played by the Juke Box Band. The park district's dance troupe will be the opening act, performing from 6 to 6:45 p.m.
In the case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road, Schaumburg.

Have coffee with Hoffman officials
Hoffman Estates residents are invited to have coffee with the village board at 10 a.m. July 21 at village hall, 1900 Hassell Road. Officials will answer questions and listen to ideas.
Ice cream and bunco for seniors
The Hoffman Estates Commission for Senior Citizens will hold a summer ice cream social, followed by Crazy Bunco, at 1:30 p.m. July 25 at village hall, 1900 Hassell Road.
Participants are encouraged to bring gently used, wrapped gifts. Admission costs $4. To reserve a spot, call (847) 781-2606.
Safe driving class for seniors at Barn
Classes on safe driving for seniors, sponsored by AARP and the village of Schaumburg, will be held Aug. 16 and Aug. 23 at the Schaumburg Barn, 231 Civic Drive, Schaumburg.
The program is a single eight-hour class held from noon to 4 p.m. on both dates. The course will prepare seniors for their driving tests and provide tips on safe driving.
