Army Spec. Jacqueline M. Betancourt has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. She is the sister-in-law of Alex Carrera of Bloomingdale.

Air Force Airman Casey J. Decker has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is a 2006 graduate of Waubonsie Valley High School, Aurora.

Army Pvt. Geraldo Valle Jr. has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is the son of Elizabeth Maldonado of Lombard. Valle is a 2006 graduate of the Lincoln Challenge Academy, Rantoul.

Army National Guard Pvt. Kevin M. Silva has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is the son of Laurette Silva of Villa Park and grandson of Olivia Silva of Schaumburg. He is a 2003 graduate of Willowbrook High School, Villa Park.

•Army National Guard Pvt. Joshua P. Yabut has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. He is the son of Adorado B. and Joan P. Yabut of Wheaton.
