Strikers Fox Valley Soccer Club to host open house April 19

Strikers Fox Valley Soccer Club will host an open house from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at the Strikers Indoor Training Facility located at 1000 S. Kirk Road in Geneva.

More than 300 families attended the event in 2017.

The open house will include tours of the state-of-the-art training facility.

Strikers Fox Valley Soccer Club is proud to feature an unparalleled 50,000-plus square-foot club house which features a full-sized training field, small technical training rooms, core and weight training rooms, team room, college room, group exercise room and more!

The night will also include meet-and-greet sessions with some of the top coaches in the area. All of the coaches are professionally certified at top levels. Kids that come dressed to play can participate in a technical training session, which will be led by Coerver Coaching of Illinois.

Parents can get information from local community groups, Aspire Soccer College Recruiting, Coerver Coaching, Little Kickers, and GOALS production.

Families will also have an opportunity to check out baskets from local community hot spots and enter a raffle for a chance to win! Lastly, the evening will include three informational breakout sessions. These sessions will include the following topics: "Vision & Future of Competitive Soccer in the Tri-Cities" from 6 to 6:30 p.m.; "College Soccer Recruitment Process by Aspire Soccer" from 6:40 to 7 p.m.; and "Vision & Future of Competitive Soccer in the Tri-Cities" from 7:15 to 7:15 p.m.

Pat Feulner, president of Strikers Fox Valley, notes, "Strikers Fox Valley Soccer Club has played a vital role in competitive soccer in the Tri-Cities for over 25 years. Come and see how soccer in the Tri-Cities is changing, explore our professional training center, talk to our experienced coaching staff, attend one of the breakout sessions, or stop by and see what many of our vendors have to offer."

"We'll have activities for the kids, refreshments, and a chance to walk away with one of the many fantastic raffle items that will be on display," he said.

Strikers Fox Valley Soccer Club has grown substantially since it was founded over 29 years ago, now serving families from St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia, Aurora, North Aurora, West Chicago, Bartlett, and Elburn. Strikers Fox Valley Soccer Club represents 53 teams, from the U-8 to U-23 age levels and has established an outstanding reputation for player development on a local, regional and national level.

The club's teams have consistently performed at a very high level, playing in the best leagues, and competing in recognized regional and national tournaments.

Feulner and his coaching staff of certified trainers are committed to teaching players about teamwork, competition, and family values. They view soccer as an experience that helps players develop as soccer players, build strength of character, and enjoy lasting friendships.
