Museum offers one-of-a-kind items on sale Jan. 20

The McHenry County Historical Society will host a Museum Flash Sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at the historical society museum, 6422 Main St. in Union.

They have cleaned out all the corners, OK, most of them, and assembled a unique treasure trove of vinyl records; a myriad antiques, including glass and china; sheet music, Art Deco bridge tallies in mint condition; sewing machines; and vintage books that include: the 1916 "History of the German People" (15-volume set), a World War I-era book of cartoons, Rockford history book; rare children's books; a 1788 copy of the "Laws of Massachusetts;" an 1806 copy of "Book of Common Prayer," and Swedish and German Bibles.

Shipping and packing materials also will be on sale.
