Meet Authors at Schaumburg Library's Indie Author Day

All ages are invited to meet authors during Indie Author Day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 14, on the first floor of the Schaumburg Library, 130 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg. Books in a variety of genres for kids, teens and adults will be available for purchase and signing. Following the author event will be a Book Craft from 1-3 p.m. in Workshop. All ages may decorate a book cover, journal cover or bookmark. No registration or fee is required for attending Indie Author Day or Book Craft.

Approximately 25 authors, writing thrillers, mysteries, romance, historical, sci-fi, inspirational, horror, crime and non-fiction, will have tables set up in The Commons on the first floor of the central library in Schaumburg. There will also be drawings and giveaways.

Participating authors will include: Sandra Ulbrich Almazan, T.D. Arkenberg, Jan Bottiglieri, Karla Brandenburg, Nicolette Chelios, Randall Allen Dunn, Gregory Kopp, Chris Lindberg, Howard Lipke, Margie Mack, Pamela S. Meyers, Susan Miura, Hugo Valentin Negron, Robert Pine, Georgann Prochaska, Red Anemone Books (Christine Todd & Jean-Michel Smith), Daniel Refvik, William A. Rich, Patrick Rizio, Nancy Sack, Scot Savage, Judith Soria, Trina Sotira and Chiara Talluto. Many of these authors have websites on which you can see their books and learn more about them prior to Indie Author Day.

Many other programs are taking place in October, along with a collection of new, packaged socks for the homeless. A "Socktober" box will be available in the lobby for the sock collection.
