MCCD exhibit showcases 'Wilds and Wildflowers of Coral Woods'

McHenry County Conservation District invites you to view "Captured on Canvas - the Wilds and Wildflowers of Coral Woods," a special art exhibit of the works created during the "Wildflowers and Art" event by plein air painters. The exhibit will be on display through Friday, July 28, at Prairieview Education Center, 2112 Behan Road in Crystal Lake.

This exhibit is free and is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday; 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday; and closed Sundays.

Local "plein air" (in the open air) artists capture the spirit of land and nature, and transform it into expressive paintings and drawings.

Revisit the beauty that unfolds each May in Coral Woods Conservation Area.

Participating artists include Dee Abbate, Carol A. Foster, Karen Sako, Julie Janzen and Janet Harlow. Works on display are for sale.

For more information call Prairieview Education Center at (815) 479-5779 or visit www.MCCDistrict.org.
