Successful graduate addresses DuPage Housing Authority

"I am better as an individual and mother for completing the program," proclaimed Clevethrine Thomas, a Family Self-Sufficiency graduate in her speech.

She was addressing the staff of DuPage Housing Authority on May 10, 2017 along with her FSS case manager, Heidi Semenek.

Years ago when she was in the DHA office, glancing over brochures, she learned of the program, enrolled, and has remained active there for 5 years.

The program assisted her with transportation to attend five workshops, and provided resources of other ventures. Heidi was Ms. Thomas' caseworker for her entire time in the Family Self-Sufficiency program noting she was invested in her goals. She explained how Family Self-Sufficiency utilizes many other services like Metropolitan Service, etc. for their clients.

Family Self-Sufficiency is now focusing their clients toward networking and mentoring.
