Teens invited to compete in Cary Area Battle of the Bands

The Cary Park District and Dr. Woods Guitar Emporium are looking for local teen bands to compete in the Cary Area Teen Battle of the Bands competition. The competition will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, in Lions Park.

The Battle of the Bands competition gives local musicians a way to showcase their talents onstage in front of an audience. The winning band is decided by a panel of judges and will move on to compete in the regional competition held in July. The winner of the regional competition will move on to the state competition held in Springfield this August.

Spots to perform are limited. Interested bands must submit a completed entry form to the Cary Park District Community Center.

Entry forms are available online at carypark.com. Completed forms should be returned to the Community Center, 255 Briargate Road no later than Wednesday, June 7.
