Schaumburg Library Launches New Website

The Schaumburg Library's website is sporting a fresh look and improved features. As of Monday, April 17, the upgraded version is up and running, with all functions available.

"We are very excited to launch a totally mobile friendly web experience for our patrons," said library Executive Director Monica Harris. "The new website offers an improved, streamlined experience for the community."

In general, the newly-launched site provides quicker access to essential information, while offering opportunities to discover new resources and services. New features include a mobile-friendly site, so library users can find what they need on smartphones or tablets. There is also a refreshed catalog with more relevant results and less clutter than the previous version. Those who register online for programs and events will find a more user-friendly method on the new site.

The modernized homepage provides a list of the day's events, along with a search feature and options to click on patron accounts or the online catalog. New releases are also highlighted on the homepage. Click on a book cover to read a brief synopsis and see a list of similar titles in that genre.

The library welcomes feedback on the new site and is accepting comments and suggestions at virtualbranch@stdl.org.
