St. Catherine of Siena to host 'Light of the World' retreat

Have you wondered: What is the purpose of my life? How can I develop a closer relationship with God? How can I become more connected to my parish?

St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Dundee will host a Lenten "Light of the World" retreat on Friday, March 3, through Monday, March 6.

The retreat will offer inspirational talks and discussions to bring the Holy Gospel alive. Participants will learn how to give purpose, meaning and direction into their lives. It will be conducted by parishioners from St. Catherine of Siena Church and St. Mary Church, Gilberts.

Retreat participants will gather together Friday evening, March 3, all day on Saturday, March 4 and Sunday, March 5, with a follow-up meeting on Monday evening, March 6. This is not an overnight retreat as participants will be going home each evening.

"I encourage all adults in the parish to prayerfully consider this retreat opportunity," said Father Matthew DeBlock, pastor, St. Catherine of Siena Church. "I am confident that it will bear fruit for the individuals who participate as well our entire parish community."
