Annual Music Changes Lives benefit returns Feb. 12
POMP, Dundee-Crown High School's Music Booster Club, will host its 12th annual Music Changes Lives Friends and Family Event from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, at the high school, 1500 Kings Road, Carpentersville.
POMP, Parents of Music Performers, invites families, friends and the community to an afternoon of music performances by the high school jazz bands, chamber orchestra, and chamber choir, along with a sneak peek preview from the upcoming spring musical, "Anything Goes."
A silent auction featuring a wide array of items donated by local businesses and a 50/50 raffle also will be available. Light appetizers, desserts and drinks will be served. All proceeds benefit POMP's scholarship programs.
"The Music Changes Lives Event is a fun way for the DCHS Music Department to showcase our talented students to our community while raising funds for scholarships," said Lisa Bettcher, choir director.
Leslie Russo, POMP co-chair, added, "We are so proud of all of our students here at DCHS, and it's a pleasure to watch them perform for their families, friends and the community."
Discounted prices for tickets ordered by Tuesday Feb. 7, are $12, $7 for students or seniors. Children 4 and under are free. For immediate families of 4 or more, it is $35 maximum.
At the door, tickets are $15, $10 for students, or $7 for seniors. Children 4 and under are free.
