Vicinity 2016 exhibit to host artists reception Oct. 2

An artists reception for the Vicinity 2016 exhibit will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, at Dellora A. Norris Cultural Arts Center, 1040 Dunham Road in St. Charles.

This exhibit features 101 works in all media by artists residing within a 50-mile radius of the arts center. It includes paintings, drawings, photography, printmakers, sculptors, ceramics, fiber art, jewelry and mixed media.

This year's winner of the Lester J. Norris Memorial Award is Phil Martin whose mixed media piece is entitled "Looking for Balance."

The jurors for this exhibition are: Ingrid E. Albrecht, Meg Bero and Joe Hernandez.

This exhibit is open to the public and is free including parking. All are welcome.

The gallery is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. The Vicinity exhibit is on display until Oct. 30.
