Global coworking boom coming to the Northwest suburbs

GENEVA, Ill - September 18, 2016 - 25N Coworking announces the expansion of its core business to include an 11,000-square-foot space at One Arlington, the leading luxury apartment community in the northwest suburbs.

"Coworking is booming. We are having a hard time keeping up with it," according to Small Business Labs Coworking Forecast, Aug. 2, 2016. The number of global Coworking spaces will grow 136 percent from just over 11,000 this year to over 26,000 by 2020.

The expected number of global coworking members is projected to increase 289 percent from about 976,000 in 2016 to over 3.8 million in 2020. Estimates for coworkers in the U.S. alone are expected at 2.2 million people.

Hauser, a workplace strategist who before 25N Coworking spent years designing and creating collaborative and innovative workplaces for Fortune 50 organizations, is thrilled to bring their model of coworking to the northwest suburbs. Ms. Hauser says that "The second location for 25N Coworking will definitely carry our brand, image and professional environment, but will be different. Hauser, who grew up in Arlington Heights, was eager to bring coworking to her home town, but wanted Ms. Schoenrock to agree. When looking for their second location Ms. Hauser was hopeful to meld living and working, and the One Arlington luxury apartment building was a perfect option.

25N Coworking will soon be bustling with just under 11,000 square feet of ground floor retail space in One Arlington, 3400 W. Stonegate Blvd., as the newest amenity for the mixed-use development Arlington Downs, which is located near Route 53 and Euclid Avenue in Arlington Heights.

According to Rick Cavenaugh, president of Stoneleigh Companies, the developer of One Arlington, the addition of a coworking space will add to the sense of community at the tower. "We estimate that at least 10 percent of the units within One Arlington are rented to individuals who either work at home or in a non-traditional work format," said Cavenaugh. "25N Coworking will be a huge amenity to residents who fit this description, as well as to the business community in Arlington Heights and the surrounding area.
