Cary Park District hosts amateur photo contest

The Cary Park District challenges area residents to enter their best shot in an amateur photo contest open to youth, teens and adults.

The rules are simple, as you enjoy your Cary Park District parks, facilities and recreation programs, capture these moments on camera.

Submitted photos must have been taken at Cary Park District parks, facilities or during a Cary Park District recreation program or special event.

All photos will be displayed at the Community Center and viewable online during the month of July to commemorate National Recreation and Parks month.

Everyone is invited to vote for their favorite photos to receive the "People's Choice Award."

Voting may be done online and at the Cary Park District Community Center, 255 Briargate Road. Winners will be announced at the end of July.

There is no fee to enter and each person may submit up to two photographs. All entries must be received by 10 p.m. Monday, June 20.
