Randall Oaks Zoo hosts Winter Festival in December

Start a new holiday tradition with the Randall Oaks Zoo in West Dundee. Join the zoo's first Winter Festival to enjoy holiday lights and decorations, caroling to the animals, a bonfire to warm up by, winter treats for sale, Santa visits and more!

The zoo, 1180 N. Randall Road, will be open from 2 to 8 p.m. Dec. 4-6, 11-13, and 18-20.

Hayrides and face painting will be offered on Saturdays and Sundays. There will be live reindeer at the zoo from 2 to 6 p.m. Sundays, and ice sculpting on Saturdays, Dec. 12 and 19.

The Randall Oaks Zoo will be selling Christmas trees this year. Purchase your tree through Dec. 20 every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. at the front of the zoo. All proceeds help benefit the zoo.

Zoo admission is $3.25 or $4 for nonresidents; free for under age 2. All activities are included with zoo admission, with the exception of the hayride, which is $2 per person and face painting ranging from $3-$5.
