Crespo Makes Visit to Community Resource Center, Reinforces Importance of Early Childhood Programs

STREAMWOOD, Ill. - State Rep. Fred Crespo, D-Hoffman Estates, visited the Community Resource Center (CRC) at the Hoffman Estates Police Department to meet with local families and discuss the importance of early childhood education.

"The benefits of the programs and services that the resource centers serving our community offer local families are limitless," Crespo said. "Early childhood education is integral in the development of our future leaders. We have a moral obligation to protect funding for these programs that help provide our youth with every opportunity to succeed."

The CRC at the Hoffman Estates Police Department is sponsored by the Village of Hoffman Estates in partnership with Community Consolidated School District 54. Among the services offered are immunizations, parenting classes, English as a second language classes, early childhood programs and other social services.

Crespo has been involved with the CRCs that serve local residents for over 10 years and intends to make visits to the other locations to observe their operations over the next few weeks.
