Defenders to host information booth at county fair

The Environmental Defenders of McHenry County invite you to stop by its booth in the new Conservation World Tent at the McHenry County Fair.

In conjunction with the BYOBag project, they will again be helping kids and adults in making reusable bags from T-shirts.

The McHenry County Citizens' Climate Lobby and Friends of Hackmatack will be there as part of their booth, and the Conservation District, 4-H Conservation Club, Dean the Worm Guy, McHenry County Health Department and Ecoessentials are sharing the tent.

The Environmental Defenders of McHenry County is a citizen organization dedicated to the preservation and improvement of the environment. The group provides community residents with educational programs and volunteer action on pollution prevention, sustainable land use and energy and natural resource conservation.

Donations are encouraged and are tax-deductible as charitable contributions. For more information, visit www.mcdef.org or call (815) 338-0393.
