Dundee Township Lions donate to FISH Food Pantry

The Dundee Township Lions donated profits from their concession sales and raffles during the June 27 Dundee Township Park District concert and fireworks at Meadowdale Park to the FISH Food Pantry in Carpentersville.

Dick Robertson, Dundee Lions treasurer, gave FISH Food Pantry president Mary Graziana a check for $830.

The Lions recently became aware that during the summer donations for FISH go down, yet the demands for food from families in need increases as children are home during the summer. Lion Robertson said this is a "win-win" proposition. The Lions like providing service to the community for such a fun event and at the same time to be able to give back financially to such a vital organization of the community.
