Run Thru the Hills with the entire family

Bring the entire family and join in the 16th annual Run Thru the Hills 5K/10K at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, April 12.

There are walk, run and strolling distances for all. This popular, challenging course will let participants get a taste of the rolling terrain that surrounds Woods Creek Lake.

Preregister online at www.lith.org or at www.signmeup.com/103457.

Enjoy a discounted fee of $28 if registration is completed by Monday, April 6. After that date, the fee will be $35.

The cutoff for online registration is 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 8. You may register Saturday, April 11, at the Running Depot, 30-H N. Williams St. in Crystal Lake, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Race-day registration will be available on-site at AMC Theaters, 311 Randall Road, beginning at 6:30 a.m.; cash or check payments only.

Each participant will receive a long-sleeve technical shirt. Specify youth or adult size.

Awards will be given on-site after the race for first through third place in age groups beginning with 10-14 through 65-plus. Walkers will receive finisher ribbons. There will be a free molehill obstacle course available for ages 6 and older starting at 8 a.m.
