Senior Care Volunteer Network to host painting fundraiser

Join the Senior Care Volunteer Network for a "Paint & Sip Fun-Raiser" event at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, at Muse Art Studio, 135 Beardsley St. in Crystal Lake.

Everything you need to create your "spring inspiration" masterpiece will be provided, including a 16-by-20-inch canvas, supplies and step-by-step instruction of the painting process. No experience needed and you can choose your own color scheme. Complimentary wine, coffee and hors d'oeuvres also will be served.

Since 1998, the nonprofit program has served all seniors 60 and older who live in McHenry County or Sun City-Huntley. Its mission is to help seniors maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life by remaining in their own homes or the home of a loved one for as long as possible.
