Melon Ink hits a $1 million!

Melon Ink hits a million!

Lake Zurich, IL, December 23, 2014: From beginning the business at home in Lake Zurich, Melon Ink grows their business to reach their goal of $1,000,000 this December! Owners Nancy-Needham-Solomon would like to thank the local community for their support and loyalty through their growth!

Melon Ink Screen Print, a division of Elegant Embroidery Inc is a full-service promotional products distributor and production facility for screen-printing, embroidery, heat press, and direct-to-garment digital printing. Beginning the business 20 years ago and growing to the current facility on Oakwood Road, Nancy and team has supplied local and national businesses, organizations, and sports teams with their clothing and promotional item needs.

Nancy credits being active in the community as a vital part of their success including the Lake Zurich Area and Wauconda Chambers of Commerce, networking groups, and volunteering while raising four sons in Lake Zurich. Andrew Malinowski, her son and Operations Manager, has worked for the business since its inception. After school, he worked at the shop and developed the screen-printing division with his drive and motivation.

Two years ago, Nancy met Brian, a local competitor at a Rotary event. Brian was looking to expand his ventures and was in need of screen-printing production. The merger seemed to be perfect professionally and personally. EEI/MISP absorbed Brainstorm Marketing and Brian became the National Sales manager, (and they wed in August 2014).

The team worked very hard to reach the million dollar goal. It took a clear vision, determination, and a sense of humor at times to complete the merger and reach the goal of a million. Thank you to the community for trusting Melon Ink with your work and we are looking forward to growing with you in the future.
