Reserve your ticket for prayer breakfast

Magnificat Prayer Breakfast will take place from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at Church of the Holy Apostles, 5211 W. Bull Valley Road, McHenry. Seating begins at 8:30 a.m.

The guest speaker will be Mary Vogrinc, a Catholic lay evangelist who uses Scripture, humor, and heartwarming testimonies to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. She is the former director of evangelization for Holy Family Catholic Church in Rockford. She has presented talks, days of reflections, weekend retreats, as well as conferences across the U.S. and Canada.

Vogrinc and her husband Brian live in Rockford and have five boys, three daughters-in-law and 12 grandchildren. Three of their boys are biological and two are adopted. She and her husband were foster parents for 19 years and have shared their home with almost 55 foster children.

Vogrinc shares her life stories using Scripture to help explain how the sacraments and church teachings cannot only be applied but found in all aspects of everyday

Tickets are $20. Put your phone number on the check; must be received by Friday, Oct. 17.

Tickets also may be purchased now through Wednesday, Oct. 22, at Bell Tower Gifts and Books located at The Church of Holy Apostles, 5211 W. Bull Valley Road in McHenry, and at The Little Way, 50 Brink St. in Crystal Lake.
