Eagle Scout Anthony Murray earns his wings.

Anthony B Murray of Antioch, IL is joined by his family, friends and fellow Lake Villa Boy Scout Troop 323 members while being recognized for having earned his Eagle Scout Rank at the Antioch Township Center on Sunday September 21, 2014. Anthony is a second generation Eagle Scout at 14 years of age. Anthony's own personal goals were to graduate from the 8th grade on the honor roll, and to have his Eagle Rank before starting high school. His Eagle service project was collecting personal hygiene products for Open Arms Mission and he was quite successful. He started out in scouts as a Tiger Cub in 2006 with Lake Villa Pack 188, crossed over into Boy Scout Troop 323 in 2010, during the 100 year Anniversary of Scouting. By the age of 10 he wanted to join either the police or the fire cadet program. We had to explain to him one thing at a time Anthony, besides you can't join either program until the age of 14, by then you will have completed your Eagle Scout Rank and then you can pursue other interests. Well, that is exactly what Anthony is doing. He has filled out an application for the Antioch Fire Department and has already volunteered and participated on September 13, 2014 at the Fireman's Dance. Congratulations Anthony! Thank you to those who helped to support him along his trail to Eagle Scout!
