Free Self Guided Tour of 5 Private Gardens- Libertyville and Mundelein- June 28 - 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

A free garden walk will be hosted by the Gardeners of Central Lake County on Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The self-guided walk will showcase five interesting and varied specialty private gardens located in Libertyville and Mundelein.

Highlights of the gardens include interesting groupings of perennials including many native plants, wide assortment of trees and shrubs including unusual varieties, lush containers, grasses, sun perennials, over 100 varieties of hostas, shade gardening, water features, an amazing Asian garden, an in-progress woodland restoration and much more - the walk promises to delight and inspire visitors!

Tour the gardens at your own leisure, enjoy the natural beauty and possibly take home some new ideas!

Maps and directions for the walk will be available at Cook Memorial Library at 413 N. Milwaukee Ave, Libertyville, and Fremont Library at 1170 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein, and Aspen Library 701 Aspen Drive, Vernon Hills mid- June.

The club meets the second Monday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at the Cross Life Evangelical Free Church, 431 W. Austin in Libertyville at 7:30 pm with the exception of July and August. Guests are always welcome!
