Send in applications to serve on transportation boards

The McHenry County Board is accepting applications from individuals interested in appointment to serve on the board of directors of two agencies in the Regional Transportation Authority.

The appointment to serve on the Regional Transportation Authority Commuter Rail Board (Metra) board is available for a four-year term, to expire June 30, 2017.

The position on the Bus Board (Pace) is available for a four-year term, to expire June 30, 2017. Applicants must be a current or retired mayor of a municipality or a current or retired village president.

Application forms are available at the County Board Office, Room 209, McHenry County Government Center, 667 Ware Road, Woodstock, IL 60098; (815) 334-4221; or www.co.mchenry.il.us.

Applicants are requested to submit their resume with their application. Completed applications should be returned to the county board office no later than 2 p.m. Thursday, May 1.
