Take part in McHenry County's Human Race

On Sunday, April 27, McHenry County business and residents will participate in the Human Race, an annual, all fitness, 5K walk/run that supports local charities serving McHenry County.

In the last three years, the Human Race has raised more than $222,000 and helped well over 50 local charities. Surrounding the race, there will be an expo, a DJ and an opportunity to meet with local vendors and charities.

The event will begin at 7:30 a.m. During this time, race participates will check-in, register and receive their race packets to run, while those not participating will be welcome to visit the expo and enjoy the other activities.

The race will begin at 9 a.m., rain or shine, with runners starting first and walkers shortly after. The race is an out and back route, which will go through the McHenry Corporate Park. Following the race, everyone will be invited to join the awards ceremony, where food and live music will be present.

The event will raise funds and awareness for volunteerism and local charities servicing McHenry County. Each race participant/team designates a local charity that will receive the proceeds of their race fee.
