GodStage offers children's theater classes

GodStage is all about building self-esteem and core values through family-friendly performing arts.

The Musical Theatre is offering upcoming classes for second to eighth grade.

Performers will memorize lines, songs and choreography from selected scenes for a condensed performance for family and friends. Students will build confidence and develop in many areas including teamwork, social skills and creative thinking.

Everyone gets a part, and all roles are equal in size. All levels of experience welcome. No auditions are necessary. Just register at www.selfoundation.org/godstage.

It is a six-week class. Cost is $99 ($8.25/hour), with minimum of six and a maximum of 15 participants. The teaching artist is Tracy Whiteside. Advance registration is required.

It will be offered in Aurora at Two Brothers Roundhouse from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, and in Elburn at M & M Dance Studio from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Fridays.

We are nondenominational with the goal of practicing and teaching:

• Respect and loyalty

• Kindness and compassion

• Honesty and integrity

• Patience and perseverance

• Responsibility and commitment

• Humility and grace

At GodStage, it's all about the kids learning and creating in a safe, supportive environment. While a few participants may go on to become professional actors, all students will learn teamwork, improve reading skills, build confidence, make friends and have fun!
