Spring Book Sale at Des Plaines Public Library

It's that time of year again - the Spring Book Sale at the Des Plaines Public Library is coming April 4-6. Friday night from 6pm to 9pm is open to Friends members only, but Saturday from 9:30am to You'll find large selections of adult and children's books (including foreign language), DVDs, CDs, movies, tapes and puzzles. We also have an extra large group of cookbooks. There will be a table of handmade crafts and gifts from the members of the Des Plaines Historical Society. The Friends of the Library sponsor and man this event and use the profits to pay for programs and items the library requests. Some of the funding and purchases in the past have been children's reading programs, family events, Sunday movie fees, the piano used in musical concerts, guest speaker fees, Wii Bowling for Seniors and many more.

So come and support our library at the sale and pick up a form to join the Friends of the Library, so that you can help at the next Fall Sale.
