Women invited to Centegra event in Crystal Lake

This year's Centegra Health Strong Woman Event will provide education and entertainment to empower women to make their health a priority.

The event will be from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at the Holiday Inn in Crystal Lake, 800 S. Route 31. The cost is $15. Register online at centegra.org/healthstrongevent to save $5.

Women who attend will learn how to live longer, healthier and happier lives by improving their physical and mental health and lowering their risks of diseases.

This year's keynote speaker, Dr. Cynthia Green, will offer the top nine changes women can make to sharpen their memory performance and boost brain health.

Green is one of America's foremost memory fitness and brain health experts. She is the founder and president of Memory Arts, LLC, a company that provides memory fitness and brain health training to organizations, corporations and individuals.

Green has appeared on Good Morning America, The Early Show, 20/20, Fox News, CNBC and National Public Radio's "Talk of the Nation," as well as in the pages of Time, Newsweek, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The London Standard, Good Housekeeping, Prevention and Parenting. She is also a regular contributor to the Huffington Post.

Other highlights of the event will include: health care speakers including physicians to answer questions; free bone health, blood pressure, BMI, diabetes screenings and more; healthy lunch; raffles and giveaways; and interactive demonstrations and booths
