Teen Job Fair Coming To Schaumburg Township District Library

Representatives from local companies interested in hiring teens will have applications and information available at the Teen Job Fair from 1-4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 15 in the Rasmussen Room of the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg. Teens ages 15 to 19 are invited to drop in to fill out applications and receive assistance with writing resumes and polishing interview skills. Additionally, job search experts will give brief presentations on the following topics.

An overview of the job search process will be presented from 1-1:15 p.m. This will be repeated at 3 p.m. Interview dos and don'ts, along with filling out online job applications, will be covered from 1:30-1:45 p.m. This will be repeated at 3:30 p.m. Creating an effective and noticeable resume will be explained from 2-2:15 p.m. The online job search will be presented from 2:30-2:45 p.m.

Additionally, organizations that accept teen volunteers will have representatives available to speak with attendees, as will the Army Reserve.

No registration or fee is required for the job fair. Teens can simply drop in anytime from 1-4 p.m. to gather information, work on resumes, and talk with the speakers. Applications will be available to fill out at the library or take home.
