Barrington Chamber Offers New Brown Bag Series

The Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) is debuting a new "Brown Bag" professional development series in January. The topic of the first program, which begins Friday, January 10, is "Leadership" presented by Eleanor Anne Sweet of Sweet Success Expert.com

This first four-week series will give participants the tools they need to take their business to new heights in 2014. Sweet will talk about how to set goals, develop vision, take action, and build stronger relationships for business success.

Sweet has studied success and leadership and its effect on organizations that range from privately held organizations to major Fortune 500 corporations. She has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal and many other business and trade journals, and is the author of Instant Job Leads #1, Job Search New Career Ideas and The New Rules in Job Search – How to Land an Executive Job in the New Economy.. Her most recent book, released last month, is Success Secret #1 – How to Hit a Homerun with Your Resume.

Sweet is also the President and owner of The Remington Group, a retained executive search firm that has specialized in placing executives nationally and internationally since 1987. She is a 23-year veteran of over 587 executive search projects with a 99.8 percent success rate.

Professional development and business education on a wide range of topics will be the focus of the Brown Bag series throughout the year. The Brown Bag series is free for Chamber members, $20 for non-members, and takes place at the BACC office, 190 E. James St. in Barrington.
