Montessori Academy to host free parent forum on nutrition

Edie Brennan, educator, lecturer and Certified Healing Foods Specialist will present “Nutrition and Your Child” hosted by Montessori Academy in Batavia at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19.

This is the next in an ongoing series on parenting provided as a community service by the school.

Confused about what a healthy diet really is? Dealing with picky eaters? Encountering allergies, behavior issues or learning challenges? These could be nutrition related. Join Edie for an information-packed discussion about how diets affects your child, common dietary myths, family friendly ways to increase nutrition and how you can involve your child in making healthy food choices.

Sample healthy foods and watch a demonstration of preparation of a healthy dish at this interactive presentation. Healthy snacks will be provided!

Montessori Academy is located at 595 S River St (Route 25) just north of Funway and the VFW Post.

Since 1971, Montessori Academy, a non-profit independent school has been serving children age 3 through eighth grade at their six-acre campus along the Fox River. Montessori Academy is a Green Certified Business and a full member of the American Montessori Society.
