Solid Waste Agency hosting Trashy Fashion Show in Hoffman Estates

To celebrate America Recycles Day, the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County is hosting its seventh Trashy Fashion Show at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15 at the Chicago Marriott Northwest, 4800 Hoffman Blvd., in Hoffman Estates.

The free show will feature 40 outfits made from materials destined for the landfill, including bicycle tires, shopping bags, wrapping paper, used tablecloths and more. Each outfit will also represent a political, medical or environmental cause the designer wants to raise awareness for.
