NCH hosts free ostomy vendor fair and stoma clinic

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (October 15, 2013) – Northwest Community Healthcare's (NCH) Ostomy Support Group is hosting its annual Ostomy Vendor Fair and Stoma Clinic on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Attendees can meet with representatives from major medical supply companies who will showcase the latest products for ostomy and stoma care.

The Ostomy Vendor Fair and Stoma Clinic will be held in rooms 1-6 and 1-7 at Northwest Community Hospital, 800 W. Central Road in Arlington Heights. Attendees are encouraged to park in the free Visitor Garage and enter the hospital at the East Entrance.

Since 2007, the Ostomy Support Group has been an accessible and trusted resource for individuals with a bowel or urinary diversion, their supporters and caregivers, and anyone facing possible surgery. The Ostomy Support Group meets every other month and is led by an NCH-certified ostomy nurse.

Meetings are held throughout the year and include group support and encouragement, guest speakers who address relevant medical and wellness topics, and presentations by medical supplies representatives. NCH's Ostomy Support Group is affiliated with the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc., which is committed to improving the quality of life for individuals who have or will have a bowel or urinary diversion.
