Purse, gift sale to benefit hospital breast center

Submitted by Centegra Health System

The Centegra Hospital-Woodstock Auxiliary will host a purse and gift sale to raise money for the Centegra Gavers Breast Center in Crystal Lake. The sale will be in the lower-level lobby at Centegra Hospital-Woodstock from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11.

“We have hosted similar fundraising opportunities and they have been very successful,” said auxiliary president Sally Welter. “The purses are quality made and are available in some fun colors.”

“In addition to the purses, there will also be scarves, jewelry and other accessories,” Welter said. “They have fleece socks for the winter. I get a few pair of these every year. To make it easy for our customers, we accept cash, check, credit and debit. We even offer payroll deduction for Centegra associates.”

The Centegra Hospital-Woodstock Auxiliary, established in 1946, is comprised of volunteers who organize fundraising activities, manage resale and gift shops and provide creative support for Centegra programs. Their efforts and good will have furnished major spaces, bought surgical and emergency equipment and refurbished several critical care areas.

Anyone interested in joining the Centegra Hospital-Woodstock Auxiliary may visit centegra.org for more information or call the auxiliary office at (815) 334-3119.
