October 15-19 Homecoming Week

Eastview Middle School

On Friday, Oct.18, a Halloween Dance will be held from 6-8 p.m. Activities will also include a scary movie, a photo booth, costume contest and a DJ from a local radio station.

Bartlett Elementary

On Friday, October 11, the school will host Family Friday during the lunch periods. Parents and siblings are invited to join Bartlett students for a picnic lunch. Music will be provided and parents can bring a special lunch to share with their students if they wish. It is an opportunity for parents to eat with their children, meet their children's friends and interact with other parents and families.

Centennial Elementary

On Friday, October 18, the school will present their Fun Fair from 6-8 p.m. Food, games, and prizes will be available.

Hawk Hollow Elementary

On Sunday, October 6, the school's 12th Annual Walk for the Hawks will take place from 1:00 - 4:00 PM at the school. Students are soliciting pledges and will walk around the school grounds to raise money for technology. Families, friends and community members are invited to attend.

Hillcrest Elementary

On Friday, October 18, the school will have a PTO Scary BINGO night from 6-8PM in the gym. It is a fun time for families to come out and enjoy each other. Prizes will be given away and food will be available for purchase.

Horizon Elementary

Horizon Elementary School will be joining other schools across the country and around the world on October 3, 2013 in the annual Jumpstart's Read for the Record. Jumpstart's Read for the Record 2013 is presented in partnership with the Pearson Foundation. This year's title is Otis by Loren Long. Members of the Bartlett High School Future Teachers' Organization will be at Horizon on Thursday, October 3rd to help celebrate. The Horizon PTO is hosting a Scholastic BookFair to support independent reading. The book fair will be open from 2PM - 8PM on Thursday, October 3rd. A special presentation by Deb Devine will also take place at Horizon on Thursday evening beginning at 7PM.

Laurel Hill Elementary

Friday's, October 4th, 11th & 18th from 8:00 - 9:30 am "Mom's & Tot's" Drop In Playgroup. Laurel Hill Gym, fun activities provided for your little ones.

Tuesday, October 15th 3:00pm - 6:00pm Health Clinic, low cost student physicals and immunizations. This clinic is sponsored by Greater Elgin Family Care Center, Call for appointments 847 608-1344. Physicals & Immunizations $25.00, Immunizations only $20.00. Medicaid and KidCare/AllKids Accepted

Friday, October 18th 5:30 - 8:30 pm PTLH Fall Festival at Laurel Hill School in the Multi Purpose Room & Gym. Food and refreshments will be sold, games and other fun filled activities will be provided for all to enjoy!

Lincoln Elementary

Monday through Friday, October 7 - 11 the Scholastic Book Fair will be held in the library during school hours.

On Wednesday, October 9, there will be an Ice Cream Social and Book Fair open to families from 6-7:30 p.m.

On Thursday, October 10, kindergarten and first grade teachers will hold a parent reading workshop from 6-7 pm at Lincoln.

On Wednesday, October 16, LIncoln's first PTO sponsored "Laps for Lincoln" Walk-A-Thon will take place.

On Thursday, October 17, enjoy a "no cook" night at Noodles & Co. from 11am - 8 p.m.

Monday, October 21, fourth grade teachers will have a presentation from 6:00 - 6:45 p.m.

Prairieview Elementary

On Thursday, October 31, the PTO will be hosting the Second Annual Walk-A-Thon fundraiser. The “Boo 1.5K” will be conducted as part of a broader focus on health and wellness and will be highlighted by Halloween costumes, trick-or-treating “healthy-style”, and lots of prizes for participating students!

Ridge Circle Elementary

On October 3, our students will be reading for the record! They will be reading Otis by Loren Long.

October 17 will be our night of reading from 5:30pm-7pm.

On October 25, our 3rd annual Spooktacular will take place from 6pm-8pm. Admission is free. Games are 50 cents each; food is available for purchase!

Oct. 24 – Nov. 8: We begin taking orders for our 2nd annual Butter Braid fundraiser!

On October 30, the Bartlett Police Department will present a Heroin Awareness Seminar for Parents, Teachers, Community Members and Students at the Bartlett High School Auditorium. The seminar will start at 7 PM and is free.
