More free tunes available to download from library website

Anyone who enjoys downloading free music may want to peruse the recently expanded list of Free Tunes titles on the Schaumburg Township District Library’s website.

More than 4 million new songs from 12,000 labels worldwide and a new interface with a generation search-and-browse function are among the latest features.

Additionally, users will have the ability to download from a selection of 8,000 popular DRM-free music videos and several other crowd-pleasing features.

This development means the library’s digital music collection will top 7 million songs, from more than 28,000 labels including Sony Music Entertainment’s catalog of legendary artists. The labels originate from over 85 countries worldwide.

FreeTunes by Freegal Music Service has free mobile apps for registered cardholders of subscribing libraries. The apps are available in the Apple App Store and Google Play.
