Crystal Lake’s Centennial Celebration honors city’s founding

Crystal Lake Bank & Trust was recently selected as the presenting sponsor for the City of Crystal Lake’s Centennial Celebration. To honor the recognition, Jim Thorpe, president of Crystal Lake Bank & Trust, presented Mayor Aaron Shepley with a $10,000 check at the Aug. 6 city council meeting.

The Crystal Lake Centennial Celebration will highlight the city’s 100th birthday since incorporation. The celebration is open to all residents and many planned special events and community partnerships will take place to honor the city’s founding.

The kickoff event will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at Three Oaks Recreation Area, 5517 Northwest Hwy. Crystal Lake Bank & Trust is honored to be a part of the festivities.
