Sweet Repeats Thrift Shoppe to host grand opening event

Sweet Repeats Thrift Shoppe has a new home at the Huntley Outlet Center and this weekend they are celebrating their grand opening with store specials, guest appearances and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The new location is a bargain hunter's dream, with more than 11,000 square feet of gently used and new treasures just waiting to be explored. The store features everything including home décor, housewares, clothing, jewelry, toys, books, furniture and small appliances.

The grand opening festivities will continue through Sunday, Aug, 18. Special sales will include select furniture at 50 percent off, a $1 clothing rack, buy one-get one free books. While shopping, individuals can enjoy cookies made by the “Cookie Queens of Huntley” and refreshments.

Store hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Tuesdays are senior discount days.

All proceeds from the store go to Pioneer Center for Human Services, a nonprofit agency in the heart of McHenry County. Pioneer Center provides youth and adult behavioral health services and counseling, developmental disability programs, sexual assault services and homeless services.
