Get ready for school on Aug. 7

DUPAGE COUNTY— The annual Back to School Fair, a “one stop shop” for health and social services for DuPage County families, is scheduled Wednesday, Aug. 7, at the Odeum Expo Center in Villa Park and will include the DuPage County Health Department offering services and school supplies to eligible families.

The School Fair is sponsored by Catholic Charities and features a variety of health and social services from organizations throughout the County.

The Health Department will offer dental screenings for children under the age of 19, school dental exams, which are required for children in kindergarten and grades 2 and 6, and vision screenings.

We will also have information available on other Health Department programs and services for low-income families. Health Department programs with tables at the School Fair include nutrition and general health information, child car seats and All Kids Health Insurance.

Parents attending the School Fair will need to bring proof of income, proof of address and identification of their children. The fair runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
