Consumers Credit Union Promotes Katherine McCabe, Amy Lopez and Brian Romac
Waukegan, IL, June 25, 2013: Consumers Credit Union (CCU; $604 Million, Waukegan, IL) recently announced a series of promotions consistent with the vision of its long-term strategic plan. Amy Lopez is the Member-owned credit union's new Vice President of Retail Delivery; Brian Romac was promoted to Director of Sales; and, Katherine McCabe was promoted to Director of Web & Mobile Banking. All three are new positions for Consumers Credit Union, created to better serve the evolving expectations of its Members.
Amy Lopez promotion to VP of Retail Delivery was based on her extensive background in credit unions, where she's gained valuable knowledge about both the Branch and Call Center channels. During her career at CCU, her experience includes Member Services Representative, Contact Center Assistant Manager and her most recent position, Branch Manager at the Gurnee office. While working in the Contact Center, Amy was extensively involved with CCU's highly-successful Online channel, the preferred channel for Members joining from other states.
Brian Romac is currently the Branch Manager in Round Lake Beach, where he's earned an outstanding reputation for developing his staff, many of whom have been promoted to other positions at the credit union. Brian's Round Lake Beach team is consistently one of the top-performing units at the credit union, and he is personally involved with the underwriting aspect of consumer loans. His success along with the fact that he's held in high esteem by employees at all levels within the organization makes him a natural selection for Director of Sales.
Katherine McCabe joined CCU in 2001 as a Teller. She became a Member Service Representative in 2004 so she could learn about account opening and lending and quickly became one of the credit union's top producers. In 2006, Katherine was promoted to Contact Center Manager, the first in CCU's history. Since that time, Katherine has developed a deep understanding of both internal and third party system capabilities and processes. She has detailed knowledge of Online account opening, Online Banking and digital signatures, as well as both remote and mobile deposit capture, perfectly positioning her for her role as Director of Web & Mobile Banking.
