Whale of a Summer

The NSSEO Kirk Speech Language Pathology staff, in coordination with the Physical Education Department, has created a set-to-scale sized whale in which the summer school students can enter and participate in various whale focused curriculum activities.

"Slipper", named after the SLP Department, is making her 4th appearance in the gym at Kirk school in Palatine. Students of all levels, regardless of age, may enter "Slipper" and participate in activities. There are two activity stations within "Slipper" and five stations outside.

"Slipper" is 56 feet long and is comprised of heavy duty rolls of plastic and held together with duct tape. She is powered by a simple household box fan.
