Burlington to celebrate Independence with fireworks July 3

Independence Day and Fireworks

Mark your calendars for the Independence Day celebration on Wednesday, July 3, at the Burlington Township Park grounds. Parking will be entering on South Street (Peplow Road) between 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

There will be food and novelty vendors on the grounds able to help those who may not have had time to eat or would like to support the local groups and this event. There will be pizza by the slice, pork sandwiches, slow smoked barbeque, hot dogs, and DQ Blizzards. There will also be a limited supply of glow and LED novelties and patriotic tee shirts sold to support the event.

The American Legion will be on the grounds to salute veterans, past and present, along with a half-hour program giving tribute to our great country on another year of freedom's celebration.

Fireworks are expected to begin between 9 and 9:30 p.m.

Bring a blanket and be prepared to slow down and take a deep breath as we celebrate the 4th of July Burlington style.

If you have not been to the park for this event, you owe it to yourself just once to enjoy the slow paced but memorable service. You will not be sorry that you came!

Donations towards next year's event will be welcomed by the few folks walking the crowd with the official Friends of Burlington donation boxes. Please do not give to anyone who is not connected to this event or cannot provide satisfactory identification.
