Conant stays in front of MSL West

A 13-6 victory over Hoffman Estates on Tuesday kept Conant in front in the Mid-Suburban West boys water polo race Tuesday.

The Cougars (14-3, 7-1) hold a 1-game advantage over both Fremd and Palatine with two divisional games remaining.

Hoffman Estates fell to 12-10 overall and 3-5 in the league.

Fremd 13, Schaumburg 6: JP French and Connor Helsdingen had 3 goals each to help the visiting Vikings picked up an MSL West win over Schaumburg. LJ Peterson scored twice for the Saxons.

Palatine 15, Barrington 2: Pirates senior Christian Kalfas scored 6 goals and drew 5 kickouts to pace visiting Palatine in MSL West play.

Alex Broncos had 3 goals and Omar El Hoffi and Krystian Kalev had 2 each while goalie Peter Blackham stopped 4 shots and had 5 steals for Palatine (11-6, 6-2).

Sam Miseyka had both goals for Barrington (8-13, 0-8).
