CCU Hosts Free Seminar: “Your Credit Score”

Waukegan, IL, April 2, 2013: Maintaining an excellent credit score is an important part of managing individual finances. While interest rates have been at historic lows for the past few years, many Members haven't been able take advantage of the lowest possible rates because their credit score was simply too low. CCU understands the benefits a positive score can have on your everyday life. That's why Consumers Credit Union (CCU, $585 million, Waukegan, IL) has invited the public and its Members to a FREE seminar, “Your Credit Score,” on Thursday, April 25th, at Keylime Cove Resort in Gurnee, IL.

Your credit score affects many areas of your life, from home ownership, to buying a car and even employment. As a result, it's crucial to take every opportunity to learn tips and pointers that will allow you to manage your credit score and help it to work for you. Those attending “Your Credit Score” will learn helpful tricks of the trade about selecting the best card based on your needs, how to find the right line of credit for your lifestyle, how to monitor your credit and how to stay on top of your score to ensure it doesn't hinder your future credit needs..

“Building a healthy credit rating can be extremely hard work,” noted Sean M. Rathjen, CCU President. “It can be a daunting task to say the least, and with the economy the way it is, it's a battle many of us struggle to win. ‘Your Credit Score' creates a better understanding of how to use credit cards efficiently, even how to maintain and improve individual credit scores. The useful information presented in this seminar will benefit everyone attending, even those who've used credit for years.”

“Your Credit Score,” provides timely, up-to-date information on best practices for managing your credit score. This popular no-cost educational workshop is presented by Buck Austin, in partnership with Balance Financial Fitness and Consumers Cooperative Association, CCU's sponsor.
