Barrington Community Expo March 9
The Barrington Community Expo, being held this Saturday, March 9 from10am to 3pm, will feature a Health Fair with several local healthcare providers exhibiting and demonstrating their products and services. Among those taking part in the Health Fair are Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, ChiroOne Wellness Centers, Everest home Healthcare, Felde Chiropractic, Illinois Vein Specialists, St. Alexius Medical Center, and Total Dentistry.
The Lions Club Hearing Van will also be on hand to provide free hearing screenings to visitors of all ages. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that there are 278 million people with moderate to profound hearing loss in both ears. The International Lions Club supports hearing loss prevention by promoting community awareness and education, assisting children and adults who are hearing impaired or deaf , and loaning its Hearing Van to communities and events such as the Barrington Expo.
The Bataille Academie of the Danse will perform 11am-noon. Other Expo activities and entertainment include concessions by Francesca's Famiglia restaurant; children's fingerprinting by the Barrington Police Dept.; a new car showcase by local dealers; electronics pickup by Vintage Tech Recylers; an appearance by and photos with Sesame Street's Elmo; and dozens of exhibits and giveaways by Barrington-area merchants and service providers.
Admission is free to the Expo, which will take place at the Barrington Park Distrct's Langendorf Park recreational facility, 235 Lions Dr. in Barrington.
